Hello! My name is Yvonne Davis, and I am one of the proud owners and operators of Golden City Family Child Care, Inc., which operates as Chase & Davis Family Child Care in Compton. With over 20 years of experience in early childhood education, I am passionate about nurturing and inspiring young minds.
While I do not hold a formal degree, I have completed numerous Child Development and business courses that have given me the knowledge needed to understand and support the unique needs of children. My journey in child care began at a center where I worked for 10 years, and it was there that I discovered my dedication to creating a warm and engaging environment for young learners. After that rewarding experience, I took the leap and opened my own Family Child Care, which I have successfully operated for 15 years.
I take great pride in the impact I’ve had on the lives of my students. Many of them have gone on to achieve remarkable success, becoming doctors, nurses, and entrepreneurs—proof of the strong foundation we built together at Chase & Davis Family Child Care.
My approach is centered around warmth, love, and nurturing, and I strive to form lasting relationships with the families I work with. It brings me joy to know that many of my former students still refer to me as “Grandma,” showing the connection and affection we share.

Hello! I’m excited to introduce myself- my name is Ebony Iman Chase, and I am one of the proud owners and operators of Golden City Family Child Care, Inc., which operates as Chase & Davis Family Child Care in Compton, CA. Growing up in the child care world, I was surrounded by the joys and challenges of nurturing young minds from a very early age. My mother owns a few child care facilities, so it’s no surprise that I’ve developed a deep passion for this field.
As a teenager and young adult, I gained valuable hands-on experience working at our family child care center, strengthening my skills and igniting my love for working with children. At 18, I took a bold step by joining the Navy, where I was stationed in Hawaii and served alongside the Navy Seals in an administrative role. This experience taught me discipline, teamwork, and the importance of leadership—qualities that I carry into my work in child care.
I am currently enrolled in college pursuing a degree in business administration, which will enhance my ability to effectively manage and grow our child care center. As a co-owner of Chase & Davis Family Child Care, I am committed to creating a nurturing, engaging, and supportive environment for every child and family we serve. I am excited to share this journey with parents and watch their children thrive in our care!

Hello! I’m Genee Howard, and I am thrilled to be a part of the Chase & Davis Family Child Care team. With over 16 years of experience in the child care field, I began my journey at Golden Wings Academy, Inc., where I started as an administrative assistant. Through hard work, dedication, and a passion for nurturing young minds, I advanced to the role of site supervisor, overseeing a facility that serves over 100 students.
As a proud mother of two wonderful boys, I understand the importance of creating a supportive and engaging environment for children to thrive. My personal experiences as a parent inspire me to provide the best possible care and education for every child in our program.
I hold a degree in Business Administration with a minor in Behavior and Social Science have successfully completed over 30 units in Child Development. This educational background, combined with my extensive hands-on experience, allows me to effectively manage our child care center while ensuring the highest standards of care and learning for our students.
I am excited to bring my knowledge, experience, and love for children to Chase & Davis Family Child Care, and I look forward to building lasting relationships with the families we serve!

Infant Care Program
At Golden City Family Child Care, our philosophy for the Infant Care Program is dedicated to creating a loving, safe, and stimulating environment that supports the growth and development of infants. We recognize the significance of nurturing physical, emotional, social, and intellectual skills during this foundational stage. Our caregivers are well-trained in the principles of child development, ensuring that each infant receives attentive care, encouragement, and praise.
Age Group
We welcome infants from 6 weeks old.
Feeding
Parents are encouraged to provide five pre-made bottles daily, clearly labeled with the infant’s name and the current date. As infants progress to various stages of baby food, we collaborate with parents to establish a personalized feeding plan. Daily updates regarding feeding times and intake will be communicated to parents.
Diapering
We ask parents to supply diapers for their infants and provide daily reports on diaper changes, including timing and details.
Program Overview
Our program emphasizes trust and positive interactions, fostering a strong sense of self-esteem in infants. Through daily routines and sensory experiences, we promote listening, language skills, and exploration of the world around them. Play activities target both large and small muscle development, catering to skills such as sitting, crawling, and grasping.

Golden City FCC, Inc. is aware of the morning rituals involved with preparing children for school every morning. As a service for working parents whose morning hours travel extremely fast, we are offering a “Before School” / A.M. support program. Not always will you have the time to prepare meals and generate enthusiasm within your child prior to a day in school. Our professional teachers will be available each morning to give you and your child the confidence, nurturing, and nutritious support you and your child require to fulfill a healthy and happy day. Safe transportation to the designated school site will be provided (at selected neighborhood schools).
After School
